Our mind responds to surroundings like social rewards and punishment , religious culture , country , politics ,  media , education , workplace culture , family environment etc..  Whatever information has been given as input and based on that mind response as output . Just think about that .. last time when you had independent authentic opinions or thoughts that are truly yours as they came from inside you ..Not from the outside word. Russian psychologist Ivan Pavlav coined the term "conditioning" a classical conditioning and environment conditioning ..
